There's a moment, somewhere between the everyday demands and the quiet spaces of reflection, when you realize you're standing on the edge of something new. That's where I am right now.

As I begin the walk into a new chapter of my life—one that carries the tender ache of becoming a soon-to-be empty nester—I'm taking a long, loving look at my life. Not with judgment, but with curiosity. Who is part of it? Where is my energy going? What do I want to be when I grow up—now that I've grown?

These questions aren't coming from a place of crisis. They're coming from a deeper desire to live with intention, to align with what truly matters, and to make space for the woman I'm still becoming.

Just the other night, after a long day of work out of town, I faced a decision. It would have been so easy to drive home, slip into my jammies, and call it a day. But I had committed myself to attend a networking event nearby. Not because it was convenient, but because I want to expand my reach, meet new people, and remain open to what's next.

I'm so glad I kept that promise.

Showing up gave me energy I didn't know I had. I met new faces, exchanged ideas, and left feeling inspired. It reminded me that growth often waits just beyond our comfort zone, not in the big, flashy moments, but in the quiet decisions we make to keep showing up for ourselves.

This new chapter isn't just about letting go. It's about leaning in. It's about choosing what aligns, what gives life, what brings peace. It's about deciding who I want to become from here, with intention and a wide-open heart.

So if you find yourself at a similar threshold, I hope you'll be gentle with the questions and brave with the answers. Keep the commitments you make to yourself, even when no one else sees them. Those are the ones that shape us the most.

Here's to becoming—again and again—with courage, curiosity, and grace.
